West Valley City is one of the more affordable places in the Salt Lake Valley to buy a condo or townhome, with older condo complexes, newer townhome communities, and quick access to I-215, the TRAX Green Line, Valley Fair, and the Maverik Center. If you want to own instead of rent without stretching into a single-family home, it’s worth a close look.

Some West Valley addresses fall within areas eligible for the Zions Bank Affordable Home Mortgage, a low-down-payment program for homes under $800,000. My wife and I used that program to buy our own condo. Check a specific address on the Zions eligibility map, and see other loan programs.
Condo vs. Townhome
